3D Scans
The 3D scan provides an interactive view of the beach and surrounding features. It is useful for visually checking beach shape, exposed rock, sand build-up, vegetation edges, access points, and other visible changes.
Orthomosaic
An orthomosaic is a flat, top-down image created from the drone photographs. It can be used like a detailed map of the beach. This is useful for comparing the visible position of the shoreline, beach width, rocks, structures, vegetation, and access areas between survey dates.
Digital Elevation Model
A Digital Elevation Model shows height information across the beach surface. It can help identify where areas appear higher or lower between survey dates, such as sand build-up, erosion, scarping, or changes around rocks and structures.
Pixel resolution
Pixel resolution describes how much real-world ground area each pixel represents. For example, a resolution of 1 cm/px means each pixel represents approximately 1 cm on the ground. Lower cm/px values mean a more detailed image.
